Chapter One :Chapter 1

Jinling University.

The area beneath the boys’ dorm building was packed—students swarmed around, even a bunch of girls came to check out the drama.

“Dude, look! It's the goddess Sophia Phillips herself at the dorm!”

“She’s definitely here for Thomas Clarke.”

“Who else would it be? You? Keep dreaming, bro.”

The balconies upstairs were crammed with curious onlookers, all staring down like it was front-row seats to a live drama. After all, Sophia was one of the top campus goddesses—half the guys in school had dreamt about her.

With everyone staring at her, Sophia smiled, soaking in the spotlight. She looked like she was on top of the world, enjoying every second of being the center of attention. In her mind, she was the queen, and the crowd below were just her loyal subjects.

“You looking for me?”

Thomas frowned as he stared at his ex.

Just yesterday, he found out she’d cheated on him—pure humiliation. And now she had the nerve to show up, acting like she owned the place? Unbelievable.

“Thomas, we’re done.”

Boom—!

That one sentence blew up the entire crowd. Hundreds of people gasped out loud.

Everyone thought they were about to witness some lovey-dovey show. Instead, this was a breakup bombshell.

The air buzzed with whispers and speculation. Heads tilted, ears perked—gossip mode: activated.

Wait, did the goddess Sophia just dump her man? In public?

Sophia didn’t even flinch at the chatter. She had clearly expected all this.

With a smirk and a touch of sarcasm in her voice, she said, “I used to be so naive. Now I’m with Gabriel Carter. You and I? We’re from two different worlds.”

“Truth is—you’re just not good enough.”

She scanned Thomas with obvious disdain. All he had was a pretty face—and even that, in her eyes, couldn’t make up for how useless he was.

Compared to her new boyfriend, Thomas wasn’t even worth mentioning. Honestly, she couldn’t believe she ever liked someone like him.

✦ Ding! Detected: breakup by gold-digger girlfriend. Activating Tycoon System ✦

Thomas froze.

Did he just hear… a system?

Four years.

The system finally kicked in.

And it took this ridiculous breakup to do it. What a twist.

While he zoned out in shock, Sophia flashed a smug smile.

“This is just how the world works,” she mocked. “Some people grind all their lives and never make it. Others? Born winners.”

“That’s the real gap between us.”

Each word stabbed at Thomas’s pride—public humiliation, plain and simple.

“Alright.”

He smiled faintly.

Honestly? He had never felt so grateful for a breakup. If that green tea girl hadn't dumped him, he'd never have triggered the system—what a blessing in disguise.

With that in mind, Thomas Clarke just shrugged and said,

“Sure, whatever.”

Sophia Phillips froze on the spot. She had cheated on him, sure, but wasn’t he supposed to go full sad puppy, beg for another chance, and be her backup plan?

“System detected host was rejected by a gold digger ex-girlfriend. Reward: luxury villa at Di Yuan No.1!”

“Bonus: Limited edition Bugatti Veyron worth 30 million!”

“Detected financial hardship! Injecting 10 billion in cash. Activating 10x spending rebate privilege!”

Holy crap.

The system drop stunned Thomas.

A mansion, a supercar, and insane amounts of cash all at once.

Honestly, he felt like he should go bow at Sophia’s ancestors' graves in thanks.

*Ding!* "To enhance host's aura and experience, system has dispatched a top-tier personal housekeeper. Evelyn Scott will arrive in 5 seconds!"

Top-tier housekeeper?

Thomas blinked, still trying to process the info.

“Did it really say… arriving in five sec—?”

VROOOM—!

Before he could finish the thought, a thunderous engine roar cut through the air. Everyone’s heads snapped toward a sleek, stretch Bugatti Veyron slowly cruising up, followed by a classy BMW X5.

The second those cars rolled into view, every eye locked on them. You could almost feel the collective jaw-drop.

The Bugatti came to a stop. The door swung open.

Out stepped a woman in a sharp business suit. Her soft chestnut hair shimmered under the sun, catching the light just right, giving her a surreal glow.

Her features were flawless—way out of Sophia’s league by any standard.

The onlookers couldn’t take their eyes off her. You could hear hundreds of people simultaneously swallow.

Let’s be real—half the guys there just started fantasizing about their dream life.

“Young Master, Evelyn has arrived! Apologies for the delay.”

Her voice was smooth and clear, tinged with just enough apology to sound sincere. Then she turned coolly toward Sophia, who was still standing there stunned.

"Miss Sophia Phillips, you did not pass the family’s evaluation. Therefore, you are ineligible to become the Young Master's fiancée."

Then she pulled out a contract along with a set of keys.

“Young Master, here are the papers for your new Di Yuan No.1 estate, and the key to this customized 30 million Bugatti Veyron.”

Evelyn kept her posture composed and her tone respectful, giving a thorough report.

Even Thomas was caught off guard.

He hadn’t expected the system to go this hard right out the gate.

“What the hell?!”

The crowd—easily a few thousand students—exploded. No one saw this coming.

It was like a drama series had suddenly gone off the rails—in the best possible way.

Wait, was Thomas Clarke actually a secret big shot?

A 30-million supercar and THAT legendary Di Yuan No.1 villa?

No way. Weren’t people saying that place was worth over a billion and still might be impossible to buy?

Then there’s this gorgeous housekeeper calling him “Young Master,” flanked by luxury real estate and cars…

"This... this can't be real..."

Sophia looked like she’d been sucker punched.

What family assessment?

She failed Thomas Clarke’s family test?!Sophia Phillips was frozen, her mind spinning out of control.

How... how could this be happening?

The guy she always thought of as broke and useless—Thomas Clarke—turned out to be filthy rich the whole time?!

She had spent three years testing him, digging around, and never found a single clue.

Now, regret hit her like a tidal wave, drowning every ounce of her sanity.

"Thomas!" she blurted, panic in her voice.

"I didn’t mean what I said—please, forget all of it, okay? I never stopped loving you..."

Screech—

A sharp screech of brakes cut her off mid-sentence.

Another luxury minivan, a high-end Lexus worth millions, came to a stop before the crowd, drawing everyone’s attention again.

The car door slid open smoothly, and two tiny figures popped out.

“Daddy!”

“We finally found you!”

Two adorable little girls—looking like they had stepped straight out of a fairytale—rushed up and threw themselves at Thomas’s legs, hugging him tightly.

What the...

Gasps echoed all around.

Thomas... has kids?

The crowd fell dead silent, like time itself had paused.

Sophia’s knees nearly gave out. Her face drained of color to a ghostly white. She just stood there, stunned, completely humiliated.

Just moments ago, she was flaunting superiority—now, it felt like she’d just slapped herself in front of the entire school.

Thomas wasn’t just rich. He had the perfect little family, too. Emma and Grace looked like real-life angels, and they were his daughters.

The slap to the face was instant and brutal. Even the onlookers were eating up the drama.

“Mr. Clarke,” a calm and elegant woman stepped forward. It was Mia, a high-level assistant. “The CEO’s been swamped with work lately, and asked if you could take care of the girls for a few days.”

She added politely, “Miss Emma and Grace are indeed your biological daughters. You're welcome to do a paternity test for confirmation.”

[Ding! First meeting detected between Host and daughters. Reward: Max-level appearance boost!]

In an instant, Thomas’s face changed subtly, becoming even more handsome. Evelyn Scott, standing nearby, couldn’t help but murmur, “Wow… since when did you get even more attractive, sir?”

“No way! System, those two cuties… they’re really mine?!”

[Affirmative, Host. Fully confirmed.]

The system’s voice rang in his mind.

[Four years ago, after your arrival in this parallel world, I arranged a companion for you fearing loneliness. That one night led to Emma and Grace’s birth…]

“Mr. Clarke, I won’t take up more of your time,” Mia said gently, giving Evelyn a polite nod before climbing back into the luxe vehicle and driving off smoothly.

The crowd stayed frozen, jaws practically hitting the ground.

Thomas stood there in a daze himself, trying to process.

“Wait, what just happened? I… have two daughters now? Twins?!”
